Dr. Nora Bolaños
Vice President
Dr. Nora Bolaños is originally from El Salvador. In 1994, Dr. Bolaños completed her medical and pediatric studies at Hofstra and Stony Brook Universities in New York. In 1987, she received her degree in biology and biochemistry, cum laude, from Hofstra University in New York. In 1991, she earned her medical degree from Suny Health Science Center in Syracuse, New York, and continued her training in pediatrics at Suny Health Science Center.
She then began her career in Florida, in the Kissimmee and Orlando areas. She founded her practice, My Kids Doctor, supporting the Hispanic-American community in the spiritual and medical fields. Over the past 28 years, she has participated in numerous community, medical, and evangelistic events. Additionally, she has made medical missionary trips to many countries, including Russia, Israel, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Haiti, Panama, and the Bahamas, among others. She is a Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS) Instructor.
Why is Dr. Bolaños so fascinated by treating children? I will never forget a little girl I treated in Haiti, and I asked her, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” Her response was, “I want to be like you and help my nine siblings and all my friends.” This little girl is now a prominent nurse in her community. Why do I treat children? Because each one is like a seed that, with care and attention, has the potential to grow into a strong, leafy tree.
Dr. Bolaños is part of the medical team at local hospitals, such as Osceola Regional Hospital, Advent Health, Orlando Health, and Nemours Children’s Hospital, where she currently practices. She has served as Treasurer, Assistant Director, and now Director of Pediatrics at the HCA at Osceola Regional Hospital. She is currently Vice President of Medical Missions Saving Lives, a ministry that works internationally in underserved communities and shares her services with other colleagues who donate their time to this worthy cause. She also heads the Medical Affairs Department, purchases the medications offered to patients at these clinics, and coordinates the work of the specialists.
