Dr. Victor Ramos

Pastoral Assessor

Dr. Víctor M. Ramos was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He married Pastor Nilsa Ramos on December 7, 1974. The couple had four children: Víctor Javier, Giovanni, Leonel, and Yamil. Dr. Víctor Ramos earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in social work. He received his bachelor’s degree in social work from the University of Puerto Rico in 1972. From 1970 to 1972, he presided over the University of Puerto Rico Revival Fellowship.

In 1977, Dr. Víctor Ramos worked at the School of Social Work’s Practice Center, organizing with parents and other government departments to find solutions to the rising juvenile delinquency in that community. In 1974, Pastor Victor Ramos began his ministerial practice serving as Associate Pastor to Rev. Jesus Perez Torres at the Pentecostal Church of God, MI in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He was ordained Pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God, MI at Parada 15, Santurce, Puerto Rico in 1977. In 1983, he pastored the Pentecostal Church of God, MI in Puerto Nuevo, San Juan, Puerto Rico. During this time, he continued his studies, earning a Master of Arts in Religion from the Evangelical Seminary of Puerto Rico in 1982.

In 1986, Dr. Victor Ramos was selected as President of the Board of the Celia and Harris Bunker Home Institute. In 1985, he chaired the Puerto Rico Organizing Committee for the crusade with Luis Palau. From 1984 to 1989, he served as Chairman of the Special Programs Committee for Pentecostal Councils. From 1989 to 1992, Dr. Victor Ramos chaired Ebenezer Broadcasting, Channel 46. In 1988, he chaired the Committee for Dr. Alberto Motessi’s Seminar for Pastors and Leaders. From 1988 to 1999, he was the radio and television producer of the program “Huellas para el Caminante” (Footprints for the Walker). In 1996, Dr. Victor Ramos founded a church and a parsonage in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic.

In 1998, he completed his Doctorate in Ministry from McCormick Theological Seminary. In 2000, Dr. Victor Ramos retired with a mission accomplished as an excellent Pastor for 17 years of the Pentecostal Church of God, M.I., in Puerto Nuevo, San Juan, P.R. In 2001, he retired to Florida, United States, to live with his family. In 2001, he joined El Calvario Church in Orlando, Florida, with his family, as a full member. Dr. Saturnino González, who was the General Pastor, asked him to join the pastoral staff as Pastor of Education and Pastoral Care.

Dr. Ramos currently provides pastoral services, creating the Institute for the School of Ministerial Leadership and Pastoral Care.
